And of course not forgetting the VERY IMPORTANT PERSON,

To the SYF Choir 2009,

Even though we did not get a Gold,

remember what Mr Goh said?

He said that he honestly thinks that we deserve a better award than Silver.

He said in his heart, it's always a Gold.

He said that our performance was absolutely faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic!

He said we succeeded in putting the different emotions for the 3 different songs.

He said his friends who were sitting in the audience thought that we sounded good and they could feeeeeeeeel us.

He said all of us could not have had done this without the fullest effort of every single chorister.

He couldn't have had done it without us,

We couldn't have had done it without him.

Gosh.

This seriously is the first time Mr Goh said such touching and heartfelt words to the Choir.

Always remember this very special day,

Our efforts paid off tremendously.

The Sec4s and 5s will miss you guys a lot and we all want to see Westwood Chorus soar even higher!

This is Pamela here.
So Choir members, are all your brain cells, brain juices all gone and destroyed that you're all unable to feel motivated enough to press on and improve and improve and just keep on improving?
This is probably the idon'tknowhowmanytimes that Mr Goh is reminding us about what we have to do and speaking to us about whether WE WANT TO DO SYF OR NOT. I am going to make this a general message for EVERYONE IN Westwood Chorus.

If SYF 2009 at Victoria Concert Hall on 17th of April 2009,0445pm means a lot to you OR even if it only means something small to you, AS LONG AS you guys are in THIS SYF 2009, PLEASE DO YOUR PART WELL AND GOOD.
Make it perfect. See? Didn't Mr Goh say that we can definitely do better than what we are now? We HAVE to do MORE which is what WE ARE CAPABLE OF in actual fact.

Ask yourself these questions.
1. Am i ready for the amount of tiredness that i will feel through out this whole journey? Regardless of which level i am in.

2. Do i actually need ''wake-up calls'' from teachers and Mr Goh and whoever it is, that SYF is coming, please do more, please give more etc etc? OR i can actually realise all these by my own?

Keep the answers to yourself because it's enough that you know it yourself, that you know what you want, that you know what you are capable of doing.
When you've found the answers, do it. Really get into action and DO IT. '' It is easier said than done.'' --> Don't just nod your heads and go ''mm'' ''yes'' ''ya'' ''ya, i want to do this''.
Just by saying is nothing. Words are free. So don't say words that aren't true. Nothing is more important than getting into action now. If you really want this, then please improve the remaining rehearsals we are left with. START IMMEDIATELY. And FYI SIX rehearsals is not a lot at all. We are racing against time. WE REALLY ARE.
Make the teachers proud of us. Make Mr Goh happy and be pleased with our voices and the sound we produce as a Choir. DO NOT LET THE HARDWORK AND HOURS OF REHEARSALS GO DOWN THE STUPID DRAIN.

and you'll just want to give up and stop doing everything because you're just too tired and seriously worned out. When that day arrives, eliminate the idea of ''giving up'' because COME ON EVERYONE WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.

Go make the best of the remaining time left before SYF.

This is the mission for all of us NOW.

But in the end, i still want to say

HANG ON TIGHT. THE RIDE ISN'T OVER YET. IT'S GOING TO BECOME MORE EXTREME BUT JUST HANG ON TIGHT.

Keep your eye on the goal. What you get is what you work for. Work for it. If you want it hard enough, you will work for it. :)

We have started learning the set piece for SYF 2009.

It is not simple as you can see, or rather hear. Which also means that we have to put in a lot more effort to pull it off. No matter how tough the rehearsals go, each and every one of us are part of it. So let's do it all together. From now till the competition day is approximately 3months. Time is running out because we still have other songs to learn, to perfect. All of us are tied down with school work. The Sec 2s are having streaming this year. The Sec 3s are having new subjects this year which they have to learn how to cope with. The Sec 4s are having O Levels this year. Still, no matter how tough it gets we, Westwood Chorus must strive to achieve. Achieve what, you may ask.

Achieve the one single goal which all of us have in mind.

By working hard,

By singing our best,

By not being afraid to make mistakes.

By working together.

CCA Fair was yet another fun and tiring day. All of you did your best and have put in a lot of effort for this event, so a big thank you and a pat on your backs. (: Tomorrow is another tiring week, so brace yourselves for it.

Hello my dear Choristers.

Some of you are bothered by senseless remarks made by the public.

Perhaps not the public.

Perhaps it might just be that One person.

Well. We do not know for sure if that One person is jealous or what.

We also do not know if we can win anything. It's too early to tell.

We have also no inkling if that One person is brave enough to owe up to what he/she has been doing.

We cannot control that that One person is thinking or doing.

However, it is telling.

It is very clear that this One person has no other agenda than to destroy our ego and think badly of us.

It is also apparent that this One person comes with evil intent.

It is not clear what this One person will think of us.

Yes. we cannot control what others think. But we can control ourselves right?

So instead of fighting back in their own lingo, we will do it our way. We shall go to Prague and try our best. We shall venture forwards and not be hurt by what others think of us when we are doing the right thing.

It is ok for us to feel unjust yet we have also fully understood the importance of values, all thanks to this One person.

Instead of hating this One Person, perhaps we can learn something from him/her.

If you not understand what I am saying, the post that was posted earlier will have suffice.

Well, that's a hidden message and I know all wwss choristers will understand.

Profanity will not hit us.

Expletives only further aggravate the situation.

Uncouth behaviour will not be condoned.

What that One person can do is to tag.

Don't ever Give Up.

Hey people who are going to Prague.

Whatever that happened in today's rehearsal will not repeat itself. Right now going to Prague is no longer something we can choose to go or not to go. Because WE'RE ALL IN IT. We can't back out so we have and must stay in it. This is one good chance to expose ourselves to things that might just be once in a lifetime. Since you are all chosen to take part in this, effort must be put in. Sometimes certain rehearsals are really very well done and sometimes there are really awful rehearsals. If a rehearsal went bad, the next rehearsal should be better and not remain the same, or get worse. If a rehearsal is well done, we should all keep up the good work and aim to do better the next time round.

If it's because of the punishments, scoldings, lectures that all of you went through before the rehearsal or during the rehearsal that resulted in the bad singing, that's not really a very good reason. So if every rehearsal there has to be punishments and scoldings, is our performance going to be poor as well? No.

I understand that probably your moods are ruined when it's a bad day. But we can't afford to have that affecting our performance all the time. All of you must know that when punishments are given there's always a reason behind it. All of you will not get punished for no reason. Well if that happens i would want someone to point it out to us. And something will be done about it. We could sit together and discuss and talk things out.

Now that it's a very very crucial period for all of us, i hope we can all work together and make our way out of this '' we are so doomed '' situation. Alright?

It will all get better. It will.

Looking forward to the next rehearsal where everything will change for the better and we will make it.

The first black candidate in the Democrat power to reside in the White House. How uncanny that is, a few months before when the runs were taken place.

What happened to Republican John McCain?

Perhaps it is not his day.

Is it a day for the choir in Westwood?

Apparently not.

I will not press more or point fingers. This is definitely not the time for us to moan or groan.

If we will all hold on together, we will be to be part of the Prague History.

It isjust like the whole choir coming together on 7 Nov to make History.
